2020 Committee Officers

Paul Beverley - President

I left King Edward VII School in 1989 and did the usual University thing, extending my stay there so that I could play more University football, and also finish off my Masters degree. More by coincidence than by design I got my first job in Preston, so I came back home, and settled again in Lytham. Over the last 25 years I have shared my time between London and Lytham, but always referred to FY8 as home. I have kept myself involved with the Old Lidunians ever since leaving school, mainly to play in the annual golf tournament, which in the latter years I have taken up the challenge of organising. Back in the day, I also enjoyed the Old Lidunians Annual Dinners.  My aim is for the Old Lidunians to once again be a thriving organisation offering the chance to catch up, reminisce, and offer a network of support to like minded individuals who had the chance to share a private education on the Fylde coast.

David Edwards - Secretary
I left King Edward VII School in 1997, heading straight for University, taking a degree in Politics 3 years later. Having graduated, and spent time living in Bordeaux teaching English in a French comprehensive School, followed by the obligatory gap year in Australia, I decided that a career in the law was for me, and following a further 2 years of study, I began work as a Trainee Solicitor at a firm in Blackpool. I qualified as a Solicitor with that firm in June 2007, specialising in Serious Criminal Defence and also Litigation/Employment. In 2012, I moved to Harrison Drury Solicitors, on Winckley Square in Preston, where I am currently. Outside of work, I enjoy road cycling in the UK and abroad. In addition, I am an active member of Freemasonry in Blackpool and the South Fylde. I am also a serving committee member of The Preston Law Society. The Old Lidunians will, once again, become a thriving organisation, providing an opportunity for former pupils to network with one another, both socially and professionally, and to enjoy successful social and sporting events throughout each year
Stuart Dewin - Treasurer

Having left King Edward VII School in 1994 and graduating, I fell into financial services when I took a position at Guardian working within their pensions department. This role also provided me with the opportunity to commence studying in my chosen career.

Following a role at a local accountancy and financial planning firm, I joined Questa in 2007 when it was founded and became a director in 2010.

I am a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, a Chartered Financial Planner, a Certified Financial Planner and an Affiliate of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. I specialise in helping clients identify and achieve their financial goals and objectives.

Outside of work, I enjoy football, golf and spending time with the family. I am an active member of the local community and serve on the Fylde committee board for the YMCA and look forward to helping re-establish the Old Lidiunians as a thriving organisation.
